We at STORM & MARIE take pride and strive to have a high Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) profile with a strict Code of Conduct that assure the transparency to our customers.

The purpose of our CoC is to ensure a continuous improvement of an ethical and fair business having to comply with the principles listed below and will ultimately benefit all parties.

We visit each of our Suppliers including the Sub suppliers and make a very thorough and careful selection. We check the limits on overtime work, the commitment to freedom of association and make a close monitoring of their health and working conditions. We only accept suppliers with BSCI Certification issued by FTA (Foreign Trade Association) and strive for a SA8000 Standard Certification as well.

Before contracting a Supplier or Sub supplier, we have them sign our Corporate CSR guidelines in the Code of Conduct contract, which include the 13 principles as follows here below.

The general principles 1-10 are all a part of the UN Global Compact with our additional principles 11-13.

STORM & MARIE is also a long time member of Dansk Fashion & Textile trade association and undertake their guidelines. Furthermore STORM & MARIE donate surplus stock and sample collections to Nordic Designers Aid, who sell the clothes – and donate all profit to civil society programs in South Africa. Read more here
